Baia del Godano Resort & Spa

Six days before we were due to arrive, the hotel accepted only a wire transfer to settle the remaining balance. My daughter then had a health issue back home, so my wife and I returned immediately and canceled all the hotels on our trip. Some of them asked for proof, such as canceled flights, new tickets, or hospital documents, in order to issue refunds. Baia del Godano was the only hotel on our trip that did not acknowledge what we had paid. I understand that hotels have general policies, but I’d urge travelers to be careful about reservations and prepayments, and to consider the hotel’s attitude.

We had a nice stay. It was very clean, the beach was good, and the staff were nice. Americans may need a moment to figure out the parking system, so take it slowly!

The road in is narrow and a little scary, especially in a big car. Once there, the hotel is quiet, with spacious rooms and bathrooms. I slept like a baby. They cleaned the room and changed the towels every day. The WiFi could be better, but the staff are friendly and efficient. There’s a private beach right outside, plus a pool and a spa with lots of massages and treatments. The restaurant has plenty of options and good food. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide choice of eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, bread, yoghurt, pastries, and more. I’ll definitely come back!

The water was crystal clear at this cosy little hotel. We also had exceptional restaurant service.
