We booked directly with the owner and clearly asked for a first-floor apartment with a terrace. Leticia confirmed that and even sent photos so we could check it was the right one. But on arrival we were put in a completely different apartment on the ground floor. We thought it might be a misunderstanding, but Letitia said she had given “our” place to someone else and ignored what we’d agreed. She said all the apartments were the same and didn’t see a problem. The only option offered was to move out the next morning, which wasn’t good. The apartment was poorly equipped, just a broom and one roll of toilet paper, with no trash bag, dish sponge or washing-up liquid, or salt. Using the washing machine cost extra. The owner was unfair.

Be careful with this place and its owner, your holiday could be ruined. We thought we had a reservation, but our room was sold to someone else for a better price than we paid, and we were left out in the street. I had to warn anyone considering a stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was in good condition, with lovely balconies and a beautiful garden. From there, it’s only a 6-minute walk to the beach, though the road is fairly steep, so coming back up takes a bit longer. There are a few bars within walking distance, and the public beach also has private sections with sun loungers. Bring water shoes, as the sea has pebbles and rocks. We could see the sea and Stromboli in the distance.

The beach is close by and the sea is beautiful. Letizia and Francesco were thoughtful, attentive hosts, too. We had a wonderful stay in a lovely, clean apartment with a new cooking area and all the comforts we needed, including access to a washing machine. The veranda was beautiful, with lovely sunsets. We hope to come back soon!

Francesco and Letizia’s professionalism and dedication really added something special to our stay. The apartments had every comfort, and there were plenty of green spots to unwind and take in the beautiful sunsets over a fantastic sea. The setting is stunning, with a unique view, and everything was top-notch. Hospitality, helpfulness, comfort, and the charm of the place sum up this wonderful experience. We’d definitely do it again. Until next time...
