La Bussola Hotel Restaurant

We were three people travelling with a baby, and paid over 500 euros for two nights in a superior room with a balcony. We definitely don't recommend this hotel and won't return. The room was old and in poor condition, and the child's bed was broken. There was no lift, so be ready to carry your luggage up the stairs. The room was above the restaurant and its soundbars. The first night there was a DJ, and the second was no better: loud music went on all evening and at least until 1 a.m. both nights. It felt like a club in our room, with the bed vibrating to the boom, boom, boom. We couldn't sleep. At 7 a.m. someone was vacuuming the hallway, so we couldn't get enough rest then either. Staff weren't respectful or understanding about our noise complaints. They said things like, “There is DJ, a DJ is a DJ so there is noise,” and, “You are on the top of the restaurant, we can’t do anything for you.” We were also told there were no other rooms for us, that there'd be no noise the next day, and that the next night would be a piano bar. They lied to us too many times. We went to the beach club at the very end of Grotticelle beach, which definitely wasn't the best spot, and there was no bathroom there. We asked the hotel to book sunbeds, but when we arrived, there was no reservation for us. We couldn't take the shuttle at the time we wanted because it was full, even though we'd been told to wait until the same day to book it. They also wouldn't let us take our car seat on the shuttle to secure the baby. We booked dinner at reception on our first night, but the restaurant had no reservation for us when we arrived. We got a table in front of the soundbar again, with the baby. The food was good but totally overpriced: 25 euros for eight sushi rolls, and bread cost extra. Breakfast was average. Run away from this hotel!

The highlight was dinner at the sushi restaurant, which I highly recommend. We also enjoyed the pool, which works well for both adults and kids. From check-in to check-out, the staff were very pleasant. Our room was super clean and had an amazing sea view. I had a great stay at La Bussola.

The service is top level, and the menu has both local dishes and international cuisine. It's a comfortable, welcoming place to stay, with clean, spacious rooms. Highly recommended!

The sunset from the garden is bliss, and the food is paradise. This small hotel is run by an Italian family, so it feels like home. There's a swimming pool, a restaurant, and an outdoor space where you can have a drink or sushi, with live music or a deep House DJ set.
