Sole e Luna Capo Vaticano

The villa is only reachable by car. Once there, the rooms and shared spaces are very clean and tidy, and the hostess pays close attention to what guests need. Breakfast is simple but has everything.

We stayed August 17-21, and the terrace was a lovely spot for breakfast. Our room and bathroom were new and spotless. The villa is beautifully kept and sits in a quiet area, well placed for reaching Tropea and the nearby beaches. Giusy and Carmelo were incredibly welcoming and gave us excellent ideas for places to visit and restaurants. Very good value for money.

The owners made us feel at home, and the homemade desserts the hostess brought out at breakfast were delicious. Tamara and Alberto were never disappointed by the places to eat or visit that they recommended. We came across this B&B by chance while planning our first trip to Calabria, drawn by its more than reasonable price for the season and handy location near points of interest, from Formicoli, Scalea, and Grotticelle beaches to Tropea. The comfortable rooms were spotless, and the welcome from the owners was so kind. Thank you so much.

I’ve never had such a positive stay. For three days I was in the owners’ apartment downstairs rather than one of the B&B rooms. I’d read a very negative review about it, but my experience was completely different: it had all the comforts of home, from a fan and towels to a fridge, washing machine, and every convenience I could think of. Cleanliness matters a lot to me, and the bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom were spotless and smelled fresh. Mrs. Giusy and her husband were extremely kind and welcoming, though we only saw them on arrival and departure. The place was quiet and peaceful, and cleanliness is one of its strongest points. It’s well located for a few days between Capo Vaticano and Tropea, about a six-minute drive to Capo Vaticano’s beaches and 16 minutes to central Tropea. Calabria is beautiful, and staying somewhere this good made the trip a spectacular memory.
