Villaggio Torre Ruffa

The rooms at Villaggio Torre Ruffa are lovely, clean, and welcoming, and waking up by the sea to the sound of the waves was wonderful. Thank you, Mrs. Rosaria and Maria. The place was beautiful in person, just as it looked in the photos, and it exceeded all our expectations. We loved the restaurant. The dishes were balanced and flavorful without being heavy, with every detail considered and top-quality ingredients. Chef Filippo and Giuseppe put a lot of passion into the à la carte seafood and meat menus, and both delighted us. The restaurant itself is an inviting, relaxing gem by the sea, elegantly furnished. Dining room staff led by the very dear Giuseppe were attentive to guests' needs, professional, and friendly, making each meal special. At the Fortunato bar, he's always ready with fresh aperitifs and excellent, expertly made coffee. He also gladly offers useful advice. The women at reception were welcoming, kind, helpful, and happy to answer all our questions. Beyond the beach, sea, and enchanting setting, we'll miss the whole Torre Ruffa Village. We were pleasantly surprised by the private beach and the restaurant right by the sea, which is enchanting. It's a wonderful village, a little corner of paradise where you can relax with a sea view and still have entertainment.

Being right on the sea is what makes this place special, and that location makes up for a lot of the resort's shortcomings. We stayed in the round bungalows in the Fiordaliso roller club area. They felt dated, with musty wooden furnishings, and the split bed had very uncomfortable mattresses and pillows. The food was excellent overall, with good Calabrian flavors, though the pasta dishes were a little less successful. Service was good, but limited. Still, the overall impression was positive, and you can come back for a fully relaxing stay right on the beach.

The rooms were comfortable and spotless, thanks to Mrs. Mirella and all the cleaning ladies. The receptionists were highly trained, and the management deserves thanks too. Entertainment was excellent, with shows to liven up our evenings. The restaurant on the terrace overlooking the sea was exceptional. The chef was always there, very kind and knowledgeable, and the food was high quality. We also loved the stunning sunsets with Stromboli right in front, the beautiful pool, the stunning sea, and the immaculately kept gardens. It was absolutely tranquil. Highly recommended.
