Hotel De la Ville

The spa costs 30€ per person and you need to book ahead. You can bring a pet for an extra 10€ per night, but pets aren’t allowed in the restaurant or breakfast area. You can have breakfast brought to your room instead. Hotel De La Ville has lovely architecture, gardens and surroundings, with interiors that make it feel like stepping back in time in Italy. It’s close to the main street’s shops, restaurants and bars, and also near the train station. The music in the outdoor spaces was nice, though trains and announcements were loud at night. In the newer part, the carpeted halls had stains everywhere. Our room was clean but small. The phone was broken, Wi-Fi kept asking us to sign in, and there was just one key for two of us. There’s a cute bar, but no bartender, so the receptionist had to serve the only two drinks he knew how to make. We found that pretty unprofessional.

Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had abroad, with lots of choice and great quality. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the grounds are beautifully kept. There’s a nice pool, though it isn’t heated. The staff were really friendly, especially Lorenzo at reception and Ina at breakfast. The hotel is very handy for the station and Ricchione’s main centres. You can hear trains and announcements when you’re outside, but not at night. We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back.

The hotel is under five minutes on foot from Riccione station, and there’s a street nearby that goes straight to the beach, with plenty of restaurants, a market and shops. The staff were friendly and helpful, the accommodation was great, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was good too.

We had a perfect stay at Hotel de la Ville, booked through British Airways. The breakfast was a feast, and the staff were polite and helpful. It’s a stylish, chic 19th century villa, beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated, with immaculate, clean rooms.
