Gaudia

My mother and I have just come back from a week at the new Gaudia Hotel, and we had a lovely time. Simone kept things running and took care of everything we needed for a relaxing break. The chef was excellent, and so was the waitress. Thanks, Simone.

The rooms work fine, though they're a little dated, and there isn't parking at the hotel. There are several free spaces in the area, though. It's close to the spa, the amusement park, and some top-notch beach clubs. What really stood out was the food: the dishes were stellar for the price, and the buffet had plenty of vegetables and appetizers. Staff were very happy to bring second helpings. There's a pool too. Great location, hospitality, and cooking. Thanks to all the staff.

The one thing I wish we'd known when booking was that beach towels required a deposit, and each towel change cost one euro. Even with July's general economic crisis, the service felt as good as it would have with a full hotel. We were very satisfied with our stay. The dining room's refresh, with lilac tablecloths and white chairs, made it feel more welcoming and refined, and we appreciated the small updates by the pool as well. Our room and the shared areas were very clean. Reception were helpful, and the waiters and kitchen team were courteous and obliging. The menu was excellent. We recommend the hotel and thank all the staff.

We stayed for 12 days in mid-August and found it great value. The pool and the garden beside it were lovely, and bikes were always available. Our room was on the small side but very clean. The staff were kind and helpful, and there was lots of excellent food plus a well-stocked buffet.
