Hotel La Plata

Nice.

The staff are super friendly, and you can come back at any time. We stayed for one night, four of us, and got a very generous breakfast. I honestly thought it was a 3-star place. The room was small but adequate, with a 32-inch TV. There's a pool at the hotel, and when we arrived around lunchtime they offered us discounted entry to a small water park. Be careful not to park on the first street: after 8:00 PM it becomes pedestrian-only and you'll get fined. I recommend it.

I'm really sorry to leave this review. My company and I had to work in Riccione for a few days, and with long, demanding hours we wanted a pool at the hotel so we could relax without going anywhere. I searched specifically for a hotel with a pool, including on Booking.com. After we arrived and paid, I asked about the pool and was told it was closed. That wasn't mentioned on the website or Booking. I was really annoyed, since we could easily have booked somewhere else with a pool. When I asked if they could put the mistake right, they told us to go to the beach. They wouldn't acknowledge the mistake or even try to fix it. The only offer was three lounge chairs at a beach without an umbrella, and only if we withdrew our cancellation on Booking. They didn't refund us. 🤦🏻‍♂️

La Plata Hotel was a great pick for a weekend with friends. I shared a comfortable room with three other friends, and the staff were very friendly with excellent service. It's close to the sea, there's no curfew, and you can return whenever you like. Breakfast runs until 11:00, and the pool is the icing on the cake. Highly recommend it if you're after a welcoming place with great amenities in Riccione.
