Hotel Roland

In a quiet spot close to Viale Dante and only a five-minute walk from the sea, this hotel was a very satisfying choice. Enza, Patrizia, and the rest of the staff made us feel welcome and were quick to help. The rooms and the rest of the building were spotless, it stayed quiet throughout the day, and breakfast was excellent, with fresh cakes each morning. The price was completely reasonable. I’d gladly consider staying here again and recommend it.

Hotel Roland feels like home to us. We’ve spent August here for four years, and the welcome is always so friendly. The food is excellent and there’s plenty of it. Compliments as usual to Vincenza, Nunzia, and Francesco for their hospitality, and thanks to Patty and Enza at reception, plus the legendary Virgilio. The food was a real strength here: breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all excellent, varied, and generous, with fish served at both lunch and dinner. The chef was excellent too. We found this was very good value for money. We stayed in July 2024. The Booking.com review I wrote then is no longer there. The owners and staff were friendly and efficient, and it’s clear many guests return year after year. The location is excellent, with the train station nearby but not bothersome. Our street-facing room had a pleasant view. The room was large, clean, and comfortable, with a balcony, drying rack, privacy, shower, and hairdryer, and towels were changed often. The rooms at the back are less spacious. The dining room was large and cool. Breakfast at the bar was a little less comfortable and varied, but still more than adequate. There’s convenient parking on site.

The food was impeccable, and I felt well looked after throughout my stay. The receptionist gave us a lovely welcome, and all the staff were very attentive and friendly. The hotel was very clean, close to Viale Dante, but far enough away from the nightlife. I’d be glad to return and highly recommend it.
