Hotel Corona

My family and I spent a week here in June 2024 with our two dogs. The service was perfect. They were always ready to help us with the dogs and could provide lactose-free food whenever we needed it.

We had such a good time during the first week of August that we’ve already returned once, booking another three days around mid-August after our first week. We can’t wait to come back next year. We chose Hotel Corona mainly because it welcomes pets. We were traveling with four dogs and two dogs, including two Cavalier Kings, and planned everything around their comfort. Dogs stay free and can be left alone in the room. Since Cavaliers don’t handle heat well, they spent the afternoons in their cool rooms. In the morning we took them to the hotel’s partner beach, 116, just a few dozen meters away, where there’s a dedicated area for dogs. The hotel exceeded our expectations in practically everything. We’d hoped for Romagna warmth, a clean place, and good choices at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and that’s what we found. The front desk showed real Romagna hospitality, with smiles, helpfulness, and attention to every little need. Mrs. Elda even helped load our car when we left, before we’d had a chance to ask. The cleaning and restaurant staff were quick and helpful too. My mother had a health problem that meant she needed blended food. As soon as one of us was seen in the restaurant, they got the blenders going and brought them right over. Meals were generous and varied. Breakfast had lots of sweet and savoury options. Lunch and dinner were buffet style, with meat and fish first and main courses, plus different fish and vegetable starters, so it was hard not to find something you liked. Water and soft drinks, Pepsi and Fanta, were included in the price, which matters since drinks have been overpriced at other hotels we’ve stayed in. The location worked well for us. It’s a few steps from Via Tasso, then a short walk to Via Dante, and about 25-30 minutes on to Viale Ceccarini. There are plenty of shops along that route, making it a pleasant walk. The seafront is only 50 meters away, great for evening strolls. Parking is essential for me. The hotel offers spaces next to the building or in a locked, unattended lot about 500 meters away, shared with other hotels but with designated spaces for each. I picked the second option, with my car under a canopy, and was very happy with it.

It was our first stay here, and we came with the whole family and our furry friend. Mrs. Elda greeted us with a lovely smile and was always ready to help, just like the rest of the staff. Everything is set up for four-legged guests, including access to the dining room and beach with them. The cleanliness, food, and location were all excellent. We’ll definitely return and would gladly recommend it!
