Hotel Sirius

The location was a real plus during my stay in Riccione. But the room wasn't serviced during the day: the sheets and towels stayed as they were, and the toiletries weren't topped up. For the fairly high price, I expected more care with the service. A few extra touches would have made the stay feel worth the cost.

The avenue is conveniently located, but that was the only thing I liked. The hotel itself was dirty and dusty, and I had allergies for five days. My room wasn't cleaned properly, and paper and soap were often missing. Dust covered the carpet on the stairs too. The pool was nearly unusable and always dirty; black kitchen trash bags were left nearby, and I never saw anyone clean it. Breakfast was just about okay, though the croissants always seemed to be stale from the day before, dry and soggy. I've been staying in hotels and coming to Riccione for 20 years, and this was the worst. Stay here if you want to ruin your week.

The pool was dirty, with cigarette butts even on the bottom, and breakfast was basic and below par. There was no milk for cappuccino; we asked the staff, but nothing was sorted out. The hotel and its awful carpeting were extremely dirty. At 3 PM the rooms still hadn't been cleaned, although the cleaning staff was supposed to have finished, so we couldn't even use the room to do our business. Our minibar was empty, and both the bathroom and balcony were tiny. They asked us for a deposit a month ahead. Then, four days after our stay ended, they called asking for it, even though they'd confirmed the full balance on checkout day. The whole thing was surreal and, to me, showed how poorly the staff manage a hospitality business. Good luck to anyone going there.

The place and its location are lovely, but the hotel badly needs a major renovation. We booked a superior room, and it was dirty, with dust in the closet, on the bedside tables and lamps, plus sand in the shower. I asked them to clean it or give us another room. They did a quick dusting, and that was it. I hate saying it, but the hotel seems to have been left to fend for itself.
