Perla

The decor is an unusual mix, like a random collection from secondhand markets and shops, but it definitely makes the hotel stand out. Its location is very central in Riccione. There's even a small pool, though the lack of separation from the street felt a little strange to me. The elevator only fits two people. Breakfast is 90% sweet food, typical Italian style, but I think they should provide more savory choices for tourists. You can park in their garage about 200-300 meters away, for an extra charge. Tourist taxes are accepted only in cash, so be sure to have some before checkout at 10.00 a.m.

Autumn in Italy was lovely, and the weather at the end of October and into November was perfect for cycling. The roads around the region were excellent, quiet traffic-wise and quite challenging. I rode every day during my three weeks at Hotel Perla, and feel like I've only just begun to explore the roads and other things to see. The hotel made a great base. The staff were very helpful and knew the area's roads, history, sights and experiences well. Their suggestions led me to things I would otherwise have missed. I enjoyed the food there too. Italy has such variety in the quality produce it grows, and I discovered plenty of new flavors. I love that simplicity and quality. I'm looking forward to visiting Hotel Perla again soon.

The meals were all great, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. Breakfast and lunch had a good selection, and dinner was absolutely amazing. Kudos to the chef. The rooms were really interesting, and I loved their decor. I was there for cycling training, so having a bike room with tools made things extremely easy. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend staying here.
