Trampolines Suite Hotel

My wife and I chose Riccione for a holiday and booked TRAMPOLINES SUITES, a hotel presented as one of the area’s best and rated five stars. I own several hotels and work as a professional in the industry, so I prefer booking directly to avoid surprises and to help hoteliers avoid paying high commissions to booking sites. I reserved five nights at 350 Eur per night for a side sea view room, relying on the hotel’s reputation. The cancellation policy included a one-night penalty. When I arrived, the reception fell far short of what I expected from a five-star hotel. It was a poor reception area at the back, with just one receptionist. I was assigned room 101 and carried my own luggage there. The room was on the first floor, facing the busy main street at the back, above the restaurant. It was noisy and filled with smog from exhaust fumes. There was technically a side sea view, but only if I leaned over the balcony and stretched my head out. We didn’t want this to ruin our holiday, so we asked to switch rooms or, if that wasn’t possible, to change hotels. They had no other rooms available, and we didn’t want to spend our holiday in those conditions at that price. We were told the penalty was five nights because we had checked in, whereas if we hadn’t checked in, it would only have been one night. It was a surreal situation. After I lost patience and raised my voice, they said they would accept one night. I asked if, having paid, I could stay that night and calmly find an alternative. They refused, saying I’d have to pay for another night if I wanted to stay. I’ll do everything I can to make this story public, because it offends the good name of Romagna hoteliers, who are known around the world for their hospitality. AVOID TRAMPOLINES!!!
