Hotel Augustus

The rooftop pool is simply amazing, and the staff are very friendly. They really look after you and make sure your stay is pleasant. The hotel is close to bars and restaurants, but far enough away for a good night's sleep in the very comfortable beds. The air conditioning is quiet enough to run all night. Room sizes depend on what you pay, and the rooms are great, very clean, and in good condition. Highly recommended!

The hotel is ideally placed, about a 5-minute walk from the beach and main shopping area. Our fifth-floor room was in good shape and had a nice balcony view, and the cleaning staff were excellent. The breakfast wasn't too fancy, but it was good. Everyone was very friendly, and we felt comfortable here. We'd stay again for a relaxing holiday on the beautiful beach of Riccione.

I had trouble with the booking, and it left me with a bad feeling, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I booked well in advance through Booking.com, but kept getting emails saying my credit card was invalid, even though it wasn't. I contacted the hotel each time and they said everything was fine, but the next day another invalid-card message would arrive. Both of my two different cards were valid. A few minutes after I checked in at the hotel without any trouble, the hotel cancelled my Booking.com reservation. My guess is they wanted to avoid the fees they owed Booking.com. I paid exactly what I had booked, but if something had gone wrong, like noise, a complaint, or a room change, it would have been me dealing with them without Booking.com involved. The hotel is nice enough and the staff are friendly, but to me it should be no more than a 3-star hotel. Nothing makes it stand out from the others.

The staff were so kind, I haven't encountered that in a long time. My room on the 5. floor was clean, with a great sea view from the balcony. The kids were surprised by pancakes at breakfast, and coffee was offered and served to the parents without us even asking :-)) Recommended!
