Hotel Sarti

The people at Hotel Sarti made the whole trip feel special. From our pickup at the train station onward, everyone was friendly and went out of their way to help. Michela, Marika, and Christina at reception answered questions and sorted out problems. Veneranda remembered our coffee orders after the first day, and Luigi helped us through the language barrier at dinner. Tomasso seemed to be everywhere, from the dining room to the bike room, and was always ready to help. He made us feel like the most important guests, though I'm sure he does that for everyone. We hope to return next year. We spent a week in Riccione in early October 2025 with two other couples, cycling and sightseeing. Hotel Sarti is clean, modern, and geared toward cyclists, with useful extras such as daily laundry for cycling clothes. Each evening, ride options were posted in the lobby, and we signed up for the ones we wanted. Expert guides led routes from 45 to over 100 kilometres. We rode for five days, but there are so many nearby towns and scenic roads that a week wasn't enough. The rides were fun and the guides made them easy. We chose shorter routes, with about 500 metres of climbing a day, mostly on quiet roads. There were coffee stops, and twice the group asked to stop for lunch at small local places. When we asked for gelato, Cesare took us to a great spot. Tomasso also planned a route when we wanted to ride to a winery on our own, and brought me a replacement when my bike broke down. One day, all the rides met at a farm for a communal farm-to-table lunch with wine. On other days we got back in time for the extensive hot and cold lunch at the hotel. We included all meals. The breakfast buffet had an egg station where they made eggs to order, and dinner was à la carte with plenty of choices and local wine. After the antipasto buffet and two dinner courses, I sometimes had room for only the primi or the secondi. Our room looked out over the Adriatic, and we watched beautiful sunrises from the balcony. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the large bathroom had a rain shower and its own balcony. We rented e-bikes to manage the climbs, while many other guests brought their own bikes.

Our first cycling holiday went so well, from booking and renting bikes to the welcome, great food, and really friendly staff. The team at Hotel Sarti made everything easy, and there was plenty to eat, even for hungry cyclists. There were lots of thoughtful touches that made the stay feel just right. We'll be back!

The guides were very good, and the food had both quality and variety. Service was outstanding, and the whole experience was excellent.

We were a group of 10 cyclists from Australia, staying at the hotel to ride. The guides offered 3-4 rides each day, with different distances and levels of effort. The hotel was good, with a great range of food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Its beachside location and the hills and mountains behind it made for great rides. The staff were excellent, and we all had a great time.
