La Locanda del Podestà

The road up was easy enough for me, and parking wasn’t a problem. Just don’t expect to leave your car right outside your room. The B&B sits on a hill in a small village, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and have what you need. Breakfast is simple but generous, with homemade croissants that are amazing. The woman who runs the place is very friendly.

The landlady looked after us so well. She drove us into the center and came back to pick us up later, almost like having our own driver. If I end up back here, I’ll stay in the same place again. Highly recommend ❤️

We liked the restaurant so much that we ate there five nights running instead of staying in Cinque Terre. The owner even gave my wife and me a lift up the mountain one day after spotting us walking along the road. Later that evening we found her restaurant. There were four delicious courses, a lovely atmosphere, and seating for only about ten people. It was the best food I had in Italy.

The rooms are lovely and the inn has a quaint feel, with an excellent dinner at the restaurant. Service was a little slow, though. It’s a beautiful, remote spot, so you need a car to stay here. There’s no fan or air conditioning, and the biggest issue was the noise from the restaurant below. Dinner sounds carried right into the rooms and made it hard to get an early night after a day in Cinque Terre. With Italian diners, private parties, and live bands right outside the window, sleeping through it wasn’t really possible.
