B&B "La Camelia"

We stayed from 30/12/22 to 6/01/23. The B&B is right in central Rieti, and the rooms were cleaned daily. The owner, the ladies running the B&B, and the cleaner all seemed to do their best to look after us despite a small language barrier. The owner was friendly, available, and helpful. The building isn't suitable for people with reduced mobility. Our reservation was for two rooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. The owner confirmed this by message and through Booking, but that wasn't what we got. After a 15-hour journey, we had to wait until the next day to get two separate beds. At 60€ a night, that wasn't what we expected. One room had a TV and fridge but no kitchen, while the other had a kitchenette. The furniture and dishes didn't match, and marks on the walls made the rooms look average. The shower also seemed old, and the rooms didn't match the website photos or the price. On the positive side, the bedding was good, the mattress was very good, and the toiletries were high quality. We had cold showers on two days, possibly because the hot water had run out after other guests showered, and the main boilers were switched off. The radiators stayed cold overnight, the only time we were really in the room. In our room the heating worked normally for the last three days, but my father got no heat in the second room even with the thermostat at 5. His radiator stayed cold, as if that part of the building had been turned off. With energy bills so high, that might have been understandable, but not at 60€ per night. The advertised abundant breakfast was actually arranged at a nearby bar: one hot drink, coffee or cappuccino, and one croissant. Three coffees and three croissants cost 15€ a day, which is too expensive. It felt more like an afternoon snack than a proper breakfast, and it isn't an option for people with reduced mobility either. The B&B description should be more realistic.
