B&B Piazza Cavour

There’s a roomy breakfast area, and Bernadette has taken COVID-19 concerns into account. The place feels so comfortable that when we first walked into our room I joked about renting it by the year. It’s been carefully designed and thought through, recently renovated, and not filled with Ikea furniture. The mattress was good too.

The hosts are kind and cheerful, and the location is excellent. Inside, it feels warm and welcoming, with good heating and hot water making it really cozy. It seems newly built. Highly recommended.

After a long day on the Cammino, the good mattress, roomy shower, and well-equipped bathroom were just what I needed. The shared kitchen has everything necessary, including a good capsule coffee machine and tea. Service was very helpful, and the place was very clean. The town is a short trip away. The downside was street noise: there are a few bars nearby, and on the weekend there was a party going on at three in the morning.

I didn't enjoy my stay. The pillows were uncomfortable, and there was no option to swap them. The hairdryer was missing its plug, so after my shower I couldn't dry my hair. That should have been noticed and replaced. The old windows let in a lot of noise from the street, even though I was on the third floor. When I first lay down, my black suit came away covered in dust because the blanket was dusty. The woman told us on arrival that breakfast wasn't available at the B&B and that we should go to the bar across the street, where the only option was a croissant and cappuccino.
