Landhaus Freiburgerhof

This was our third stay in an apartment belonging to the Ortner family, and we agree with all the positive reviews. The Landhaus Freiburger Hof deserves its five-star rating, with just one exception. We really have nothing to complain about. What stood out most was how friendly and helpful everyone was, including the hotel staff. Our special thanks go to Christa, who always took such good care of us. On my wife’s birthday, she put flowers on the terrace in the morning, then later brought her a bottle of sparkling wine and a little cake herself. We’re deeply grateful for that wonderful kindness.

The apartment, setting, spa, and rooftop pool gave us a wonderfully relaxing stay at Landhaus Freiburgerhof. We’d love to return to Riffian, and we became very fond of Christa and Martin. It’s rare to meet hosts so kind and friendly, and they made our week special. Thank you for everything, dear Christa, see you soon! We left before the adjacent Hotel Zirmerhof opened, so unfortunately we missed the chance to have breakfast or dinner there.

Our first visit to the Freiburgerhof in Riffian was even better than we expected. The hosts welcomed us warmly, and the apartments are modern and tastefully furnished. From our large balcony, we could see the Hirzer and Iffinger mountains as well as Schenna. We also loved the new heated saltwater infinity pool. The nearby Hotel Zirmerhof lets guests use its panoramic sauna free of charge, and there are yoga and Pilates classes too. We’d happily return.

The best part for us was the whole team’s warmth, openness, and genuine way of welcoming people. Everything else was wonderful too, but that’s what made us feel so at home. We’ll definitely be back. We spent two weeks in a beautiful apartment that was clean, worked perfectly, and gave us a breathtaking view every morning. The family handled all our requests with care and ease, and they have a real soft spot for children. The kids still talk about Martin letting them ride on the tractor, thanks again! It’s a great extra that hotel services like meals, the bar, spa, and yoga are available, even if you decide spontaneously.
