If you're looking for a quiet escape and have a car, this place works well. It's near a train line, so you can hear it a little, though it didn't bother us. The station is 3 km away, but walking there means going along the road without a footpath, so a car is really needed. The owners were among the friendliest we've met, though they spoke little English and communication could be tricky at times. We enjoyed sampling their wine. Families have plenty to do: you can feed geese, chickens, goats, a pig, and a donkey, and there's a small football pitch, a Bocce set, and foosball. It was unusually hot for June, and air conditioning or fly screens would have helped us keep the windows open without mosquitoes coming in.

The family running this place have real character, and staying with them was a rare, unforgettable experience. It's tucked away, yet getting into Firenze is simple: the train takes 35 minutes. We had a lovely time with the delightful hosts. Beautiful meals and wine from the farm's vineyards are available if you want them. They have also arranged access to the pool at the luxury resort next door.

The breakfast was divine, and the old barn, dating from the 1400s, has been updated while keeping its charm. There are goats, chickens, ducks, a fig tree, outdoor bowling, and bicycles you can use for free. The working wineyard and olive grove produce olive oil, and the grass and Tuscan backdrop make it a special place. The whole family was wonderful. We arrived late, but they still welcomed us. I had bad allergies, and the sister, who is a doctor, kindly brought me allergy medicine at no charge. We arrived on a Saturday night, when everything would be closed on Sunday. It's close to the designer outlets for Versace, Gucci, and more, if you can afford them. I loved it and would revisit in a heartbeat. I first posted this in June 2018, then just noticed I'd accidentally left four stars instead of five, so I corrected that mistake. It was an amazing place, and I hope everyone gets a chance to visit someday.

My family had a great time here. The owners are very sweet, and the place was clean and convenient for the local area. As a light sleeper who dislikes noise, I appreciated how quiet and comfortable it was.
