The wine tasting was fun, and breakfast had a delicious selection. We stayed for a few days as a couple and really enjoyed it. The location is lovely, though it’s a little removed from the other towns, so having a car is best. Staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was clean. The amenities are pretty basic, but there’s what you need. We’d definitely recommend it, and thanks again :)

We loved being tucked into the Tuscan countryside among the vineyards, especially after the crowds of Venice. The rooms were lovely, the staff incredibly kind, and the stay was unforgettable. It’s a gorgeous spot for slowing down, with a nice pool, tasty wine, and breakfast included each morning. Florence is still within a 40 minute drive. We didn’t have the rental car we’d planned on, but we found we could get there by bus from downtown Florence. The bus system was efficient and cheap, and I managed it even as a guy from Texas. The stop is easy to reach if you’re fine with a stroll. I’d still suggest renting a car for more flexibility, but the bus is a workable option.

The setting looks stunning from outside, and the place has the basis for something great, but we felt it fell short in several ways. Our three story separate house, listed as a Villa room, wasn’t fully clean and felt dated and poorly maintained. It came across as cheapness or lack of upkeep dressed up as rustic style. Some switches seemed to do nothing, some lights didn’t work, and after a week we still couldn’t tell how to turn each one off. There were two single beds in one room, set so high that they’re hazardous for children under 8. Our 4 year old couldn’t climb up, and our 6 year old fell while trying to get down. Most of the staff communicated well and were polite and helpful, but one seemingly senior staff member didn’t seem polite or concerned, and appeared annoyed when we needed the paid 9pm late check in. That fee is understandable. The breakfast was underwhelming for 22 euros per person per day. Nothing tasted especially good, though there was a boiled egg, some cake, and coffee. There are extra charges in many places, but paying 5 euros for a swimming towel seems silly. It’s not the amount so much as the fact that there’s a fee at all. Late check in also costs 30 euros. This might work if what you want is nice pictures for social media.

The family who own the place and everyone working there were very, very polite and nice. We loved the beautiful view, the cozy rooms, and the clean pool. Their own wine is something special, definitely worth trying.
