Hotel Alba

A really nice, very good place, with comfortable rooms and good treatment.

The location is fairly central, about two hundred meters from the beach, and Mrs. Franca and the cleaning lady were courteous and friendly. The breakfast buffet was good and varied, though it had no fresh fruit, which I think they should offer. The rest was frustrating. The hotel seems to think it's three stars, but it felt like two. The walls are so thin you can hear the neighbors showering. One night they came back drunk at four in the morning, yelling, partying and slamming doors. The staff didn't ask them to quiet down, so a guest had to do it, even though the hallways are covered in reminders to keep quiet from midnight to seven. The outlet was held together with paper tape, and the shower only trickled. The water was never lukewarm, just freezing or boiling hot.

We felt at home here. The place was clean and cozy, and the staff created an atmosphere that went beyond what we expected. They genuinely tried to make us comfortable, and they speak Russian. We're very grateful for that. The location was convenient, five to seven minutes from the sea. Towels were changed daily and shower gel replenished. Our room had a wardrobe and individual air conditioning that worked well. There was no hairdryer, kettle or refrigerator, as the hotel description says. Dinners were exquisite, while breakfast was typical European fare, nothing fancy but all delicious. We didn't order lunch. During our week-long stay, they arranged an evening with live music and a buffet.

After the hotel I had booked elsewhere turned out to be unavailable, I was advised to book at the ALBA Hotel. I arrived with my daughters, aged 12 and 16, and manager Renzo, his assistant Andrea and the restaurant staff were extremely helpful. Mr. Renzo quickly suggested a beach where we could spend a wonderful week by the sea. We booked half board. The room was very clean, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. There was plenty of food, with lots of buffet choices, and everything was high quality. I'd definitely recommend the Alba Hotel.
