Hotel Alfa

The room was a plus: spacious, with air conditioning, a mini fridge, a hairdryer, and a nice balcony overlooking the sea. The furnishings are dated, though. The food didn't always suit us, especially the first courses, which were often lightly seasoned, with overcooked pasta. The dining staff were always friendly but weren't consistently organized. The hotel's location is excellent, and it's an unpretentious place, but the services weren't always up to scratch. We had an all-inclusive package, yet cleaning happened only twice. After several reminders, we ended up chasing the lone cleaner, who was responsible for all the floors. This was despite the €10 daily extra-cleaning charge because we had our dog. Reception is entirely at the nearby Crystal Hotel, just steps away. That confused foreign tourists who didn't know where to check in, and it was a bit inconvenient for us too, since there was no contact person at our hotel.

We arrived to find a person standing in the dark in our room, apparently unsure what they were doing. The beds had hair on them and the toilet was filthy. The room was in terrible condition, and I'll let the photos I attached show the rest. We also hadn't realized check-in was at another hotel. At reception, they said we hadn't paid, which was wrong: we'd paid the balance before departure to secure the room. Our booking included two beach loungers, but those were denied at check-in. After we complained that evening, they at least "cleaned" the bathroom.

We planned to stay just one day, but had such a good time that we stayed for three. The rooms were tidy and clean, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and everyone on staff was friendly and polite. They even played with our little girl at breakfast. This was summer 2025, and we left at the last minute with no plans or reservations. Our scheduled arrival was midnight, but we were an hour late because of the kids. The owner waited patiently for us, then explained the available services, including parking, bicycles, beach umbrellas and loungers, and the hotel's partner restaurants. I'll definitely come back, and I'm grateful to the owner for his kindness and hospitality.

I went in expecting to eat badly like in other years, since I chose the cheapest option and figured at least I'd pay less. Instead, the food was genuinely good quality: pasta al dente, generous meat and fish mains, and very friendly waiters. Wine was unlimited. At other hotels I paid 12 euros a bottle, and since I have one with a meal, you can do the math for 10 days. The little ones got cuddles and orangeade, and there was a pool for anyone who didn't want the beach. The rooms are rough, especially the bathroom, but the other five places I've been to were like that too. I don't go on holiday to spend my time in the bathroom, right? The one downside is that it's not very welcoming for children, unlike the other places with games and so on. Still, if I can eat well and spend almost 500 euros less than elsewhere, what more can I ask for? A new toilet seat? Who cares! If we go back to Torrepedrera, this will be the first place I call!
