Hotel Britannia

The location was one of my favorite things, and the cleaning lady was the cutest. We also had some really good care from the night receptionists: Atik was professional and looked after us so well, and Stefan was very sweet and took great care of us. Gabriel was lovely and professional each morning at breakfast, and even gave me gluten-free options. I loved the breakfast too. Our room was beautiful, with a particularly spacious bathroom, though our family members and friends weren't as lucky with their rooms. I wish we'd been told ahead of time that the dogs would cost extra, since it wasn't written anywhere, but they did reduce the price for us, which was very nice. We also weren't told that parking would be charged at the end of the stay. They had us park there, and the young girl at reception claimed she'd told me, but she hadn't.

The hotel is close to the beach, which is its best feature. The rooms weren't clean, the furniture was old, and there was no soap.

The outside and reception seemed fine, but the rooms were tiny and the furniture looked like it was from before World War I. The walls are so thin you can hear everyone in the next room. For a three-star place, the standard feels more like half a star or one by Croatian standards. Hotels in Bosnia or Macedonia have been better, including their richer meals. Breakfast was very meager, though that seemed okay to me since food in Italy is often served in tiny, poor quantities, even if the quality is okay. The Wi-Fi didn't work, and the IP TV didn't work properly either.

Staff were professional and kind, and the hotel was clean with good facilities. It's close to both the beach and city center. A good value if you want to keep the room cost down while still getting decent hotel facilities.
