Hotel Cuba Rimini

The room was cozy, breakfast had lots of choice, and the hotel is very close to the sea. There was air conditioning in the room, too. But the Wi-Fi never worked in our room. The password failed, and reception couldn't sort it out. One receptionist suggested another network, but that didn't reach our room either. At check-in, we also weren't given basic information like breakfast times. We stayed five nights and the room was cleaned only twice. After the second day without cleaning, I asked at reception. The receptionist said I had to leave our key for the housekeeper, and seemed surprised nobody had mentioned this at check-in. Yet the housekeeper had her own key, and once opened our room with it. I left our key at reception anyway, but the room still wasn't cleaned because the housekeeper was sick that day. What nonsense, the hotel seems to have just one housekeeper.

The staff were the best part for me. They were lovely, welcoming, and quick to deal with problems or requests. The food was also pretty good over our three days, with fish, meat, and vegetables, and the bar coffee was proper Italian coffee. Breakfast got odd when the coffee mugs ran out, though. Getting another one was surprisingly difficult. The room looked fine at first, and everything seemed clean. Looking closer, the furniture was cheap, the wardrobe was broken, and the bunk bed frame was scraped up. The bathroom had been redone with a proper shower, which apparently not every room has, but its floor was broken and the suspended sink, bidet, and toilet all wobbled. The towels had holes in them. We were on the first floor, probably in the wrong wing, and the view wasn't good. The ground-floor toilets open to all guests weren't very clean either. Hard to say whether that was on the guests or the cleaning staff, probably both. The reception area was basic, with cramped spaces and plain furniture, though the people there were very nice. Our room was ready and we went straight up. I can see room for improvement in the little details, even though the staff made a real effort. I hope they can sort those things out. Keep the date of this review in mind, as things may have changed since then. Enjoy, and give it a thumbs up if you found it useful.

The location is handy and the beach is very close. Rooms are okay, and the bathrooms are nice. Breakfast wasn't satisfactory, but the rest was decent enough.

Money went missing from our room, and the staff didn't seem to care. They just denied doing it and said they knew nothing about it. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
