We stayed at the Kelly Hotel during our summer holiday, and this is a late review. We’ve visited many countries and had plenty to compare it with, but the food here was the best we’ve had. It’s easy to see why people say Italian cuisine is so good. We were happy with the holiday and the service, and I hope to come back someday. The hotel deserves more than two stars, in my view. The sea is clean and pleasant, and the beaches are regularly cleaned. Sun loungers cost extra. The water isn’t as warm as in Greece or Egypt, but it’s no worse than in Bulgaria or Montenegro. The hotel is also only a five-minute walk from the sea. Cafes, restaurants, and shops are nearby, and Lidl is about a 20-minute walk away. There’s also a shopping center with brands like Zara, Bershka, and Victoria's Secret. Since we came from Ukraine, the short drive was convenient. It’s a good budget option for Ukrainians who want a decent holiday without a long drive. Our room was very clean and regularly tidied. The staff were friendly, smiling, and ready to help. We appreciated the owners’ attitude and how hard they tried. We didn’t speak Italian, and the owners spoke little English, but we still managed to sort things out and understand each other. The meals were delicious. Breakfast is buffet style, and at lunch and dinner there are buffet snacks plus a choice of two dishes. We didn’t eat at any restaurants because we enjoyed the hotel food so much. I’ve attached a photo so you can see it. The food was a big part of why we enjoyed our full-board stay at Hotel Kelly in the first week of September. Breakfast was continental with plenty to suit different tastes, and Francesco’s homemade desserts were delicious, clearly made with love. Lunch and dinner started with a generous buffet of fresh and sautéed vegetables, focaccia, and more. After that, we could choose from two first courses and two second courses, either seafood or meat, with fresh pasta or vegetable and bean soups. The menus changed and were generous, with something for all kinds of tastes. Our room was clean, simply furnished, and had what we needed. We had a relaxing holiday with good food, and the hotel is very close to the sea. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are available at a partner beach resort. Our dachshund, Mia, was welcome too, and we appreciated how warmly she was received. Many thanks to Francesco and Arianna. We hope to return to Hotel Kelly soon.
