For the price, this was a bargain, and I’d still call it good value. It’s a retro hotel from the 70s and 80s, quirks included: the lift doesn’t reach the top floor, and the bathrooms have an awkward layout. The staff were super nice and cleaned my room every day. There’s a trolleybus stop right by the hotel, and the beach is a few blocks down the street. It’s next to the railway, so it’s noisy, like other hotels beside railway lines. Be aware that the rooms have three speed ceiling fans instead of AC.

We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely come back. I stayed for 10 days, and the owner and reception staff were very nice and friendly. The rooms were very clean, with towels changed daily, and breakfast was plentiful and very good.

For what we paid, the service didn’t measure up. Our room was cramped, with four beds in a space suited to one person, and several things were missing, including the air conditioning remote. Trains passed every few minutes, so there was basically no peace and quiet. Honestly, it wasn’t worth it.

A big thank you to Michele, the lovely staff, and the great chef for a fantastic eight days at Hotel Magriv. The rooms, location, food, and people were all perfect. The owner even prepared a surprise for us, which made us very happy.

I booked for June 2020, but when Covid-19 hit, Italy was in lockdown and the hotel was closed. They still didn’t return my money for a stay I couldn’t use. I asked for and agreed to a voucher, but it never arrived. The worst experience. Don’t make the mistake of booking here. LYING HOSTS!
