Hotel Malvina

We'd booked another hotel, but a problem with our reservation led them to apologize and send us here instead. We had already paid on arrival, and the amount was nowhere near worth the service. Once we saw the room, it was clear we’d been wrong to think the place looked dated but clean and quiet. The furniture was very old, worn, and broken. The shower stall was broken and had no doors, so water ran across the bathroom floor. In the morning I saw that the toilet was splattered with urine, dusty, and covered in hair. The towels were clean, though they had streaks on them. There were cracker-like crumbs on the sheets, which were otherwise clean. The room seemed clean at first, but sunlight showed a lot of dust. During the night there were screams and bangs from the street. Then there was a feud in the lobby between some unidentified people and the hotel staff, with shouting, banging, and what I think were punches. The police came twice. We left as soon as we were ready in the morning.

The breakfast and the hotel's closeness to the beach were both decent. I feel sorry for the women working there, since they have to deal with all the customers' tantrums. Still, the small rooms and cramped bathroom make this hotel unsuitable for families, in my opinion. Our shower door was broken, the main light didn't work, and the terrace curtain was torn and dirty. Nothing changed during the week we stayed, and I won't be coming back.

The guy who greeted us was very welcoming and kind. He understood why we were upset and apologized for the trouble. But we only put our bags on the bed before escaping from the awful room. The air conditioning was broken, and our triple room was so tiny that we could barely walk around. I was there with my wife and young daughter. The bathroom was impossible to describe, and parking cost €5 a day for a tight spot where half the car stuck out into the road. I really don't recommend it.

I wasn't expecting much and was glad the staff were friendly. The location was quiet and peaceful, and getting in and out was flexible, with a combination lock and no set check-in or check-out times. I stayed for four nights and five days during Rimini Comix, in a small but well-equipped single room with ventilation and air conditioning. The bathroom was very narrow, and the wall-mounted shower sprayed water onto the fixtures since there was no shower tray. Breakfast could use some improvement.
