Hotel Miramare et de la Ville

It’s a decent three-star hotel, though it needs some updating. The central location makes it worth considering.

We stayed from August 4 to 11. The reception staff were lovely, the hotel was clean and very close to the beach, and the bathroom looked completely new after renovation. The air conditioner worked great. The bed frame was metal mesh and had sagged, though, so a new mattress wouldn’t fix it. They’d be better off nailing a piece of chipboard from a closet onto it. The street has parties and vendors, so noise and music go on for a long time. If you aren’t exhausted from the day or you’re a light sleeper, it can be hard to fall asleep. The wooden windows don’t block much noise. The food was very tasty and filling, with a salad, two dishes, and dessert at dinner.

We were there for two nights on full board with our basketball team for a tournament. The central location was the one positive. The hotel was dirty, very old, and badly maintained, and the food was awful. Service was just as bad, except from one person. It needs a major renovation, and the staff need customer service training.
