Hotel Orchidea

I don't get why people expect Hilton standards when they're paying such a cheap price. The people here are polite, the rooms are really clean and comfortable, and breakfast is delicious. I'm very happy with this hotel and highly recommend it.

We were only there one night, luckily. The parking was good, but it's on another street and nobody told us. The bathroom door wouldn't close, the Wi-Fi didn't work in our room, and instead of proper soft towels they gave us what seemed like napkins. Our room was on the third and top floor under the roof. The ceiling was about 2.20m at its highest and 1m at its lowest, with two small windows starting at floor level. It was so low that walking around normally or getting to the bed was difficult. It was very hot, and the air conditioner had a bowl of water that we had to empty every hour and a half. I couldn't tell from the Booking pictures how low the ceiling was. If I'd known, I wouldn't have booked this cage. The receptionist first sent us to the second floor. When we couldn't find the room, he just said he'd mixed up the floors, as if he didn't work there.

The hotel is clean and the room was a normal size, but I didn't like the bathroom. The shower isn't separated from the rest of it, so it's right above the toilet. Parking is 500 meters away, and breakfast is served at the nearby hotel Peonia.

Breakfast was really good, with a Swedish-table setup, and the staff were nice. The place felt cosy too. I'd recommend it.
