We ended up staying an extra night when our train was cancelled on the day we were meant to leave. The staff let us keep the room without any fuss, and they were welcoming and accommodating throughout. The beach is really close, too. Our room was clean, with spare towels and pillows, and had air conditioning. We especially liked the balcony, with its plants and overhanging tree. The shutter gate across the sliding balcony door also made me feel very safe. Breakfast is well worth the extra euros for the quality and choice: fresh juices, fruit, pastries, eggs, bacon, cereal with lots of milk options, and a great coffee machine.

The shower pressure was a little weak, but that was our only inconvenience. The staff were incredibly kind, spoke several languages, and helped us out. They even let us leave our bags at reception while we went for a stroll before leaving. Breakfast was generous and really good, and the location made it easy to walk both to the beach and into the city center. We'd like to come back soon.

The room was tiny, but absolutely fine for the price. We felt welcome right away because the staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast had plenty of variety, with great cakes as well as savory options. Everything we needed was about five minutes away, and we really enjoyed our stay :)

The location was good, but my three fellow South Africans and I were mistreated. There was almost never anyone at reception unless it was time to pay. One worker shouted at us in Italian and also shouted at the owner while we were there. It felt like a racist encounter. During our ten days, housekeeping came just once to clean the room and change the sheets and towels.

The beds weren't great, though most beds in Italy seem to be like that. Still, overall we had a great experience. The location is good, just five minutes from the beach, and there's air conditioning.
