It had the feel of having your own apartment, and I liked that private atmosphere. The owners kept to themselves, and the place was spacious and close to everything. I stayed two nights. Some small upgrades, like hooks in the bathrooms, would help, and the sound insulation was poor, though earplugs can deal with that. You get what you pay for.

The best part was the location: public transport was easy to reach, the beach was close, and there were lots of bars and shops nearby. We also loved the spacious balcony. We stayed three nights, and while we enjoyed our time, we probably wouldn't return. There were a lot of irritations. The host gave us no check-in information, and when we arrived he tried to be “funny” in a way that felt more scary than amusing. The staircase and corridors smelled strongly of cigarettes, despite his explicit rule that smoking wasn't allowed. The Wi-Fi didn't work. There were odd stains on the walls and ceiling, and the faucet handle was broken. The kitchen was usable for cooking but poorly equipped, and being right beside the railway tracks meant it got very loud at times. We're young and have been traveling for a while, so our standards aren't especially high, but these things still bothered us.

The sea isn't too far, and the rooms have air conditioning. But the place needs a lot of renovation, with dirty walls and windows and a broken tap. The railway is nearby, so you shouldn't leave the windows open at night. The receptionist, or perhaps the owner, seemed bored and unfriendly.

The room was spacious and clean, with a terrace to sit on, and the shower was really nice. The sheets sometimes chafe, though. I'd rate it 9/10, especially for the value at a low price.
