Residence Royal

The location is excellent, though the apartments need quite a bit of upkeep. Every handle on the doors and windows was broken. The kitchen table was badly worn as well, and with an induction hob, suitable pans would have been useful. Still, the place was adequate overall.

There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, though it gets fairly noisy until early morning. This apartment is right on the main promenade, close to the sea, but the nearby beaches are paid ones. Parking means searching the surrounding streets. Mine was on the second floor, and the elevator was out of order. There was no air conditioning, and the apartment looked worn and in need of renovation. The price felt fair for the quality. I’d use it as a base or for a night while travelling to or from a holiday, but not for a few days of beach relaxation.

The only real problem was the broken front door, which was hard to open and close. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, tidy, and modern, and the price was about average. Otherwise, everything was fine.

There’s a decent double bedroom with a small balcony and drying rack, plus a large living room and kitchen. The sofa converts to a double bed, though it’s uncomfortable to sleep on. The bathroom is there too. Furnishings are dated, but the apartment comes with sheets, towels, pots and pans for the small kitchen, a refrigerator, and two TVs.
