Ricchi

I was hoping for a quiet little break near the sea, and Hotel Ricchi suited that well. It's really close to the water, less than a two-minute walk. The beach isn't huge, but it's lovely for an evening stroll. At the far end there's a beach bar with music and blankets on the sand. You can walk into central Rimini in about 20 minutes. Bus stops are outside on route 2 and at the tops of the road, so getting around is possible too. The hotel itself is very clean, and the staff are helpful and lovely. My room was spotless and practical, with daily maid service, fresh towels every day, and a couple of shampoo and soap sachets. Breakfast was varied and good: fresh fruit, eggs and bacon, ham and cheese, bread and a toaster, plus pastries and cakes. The pool feels really cold at first, but you get used to it quickly and then it's refreshing. There are loungers, though the hard plastic ones aren't very comfortable, so that's the one thing I'd ask them to improve. I didn't find the local restaurants very welcoming. As a solo traveller who speaks English, I need someone to greet me somehow so I can get a table, and that wasn't happening at the beachfront places. There is a pizza and gelato spot just steps from the hotel, though, where the food is good and the staff are friendly. One surprise on my last morning was a €7.50 tax charge. I thought it had been included in my booking, so be aware. Luckily, I hadn't spent all my money. The reception and dining staff deserve big praise: they spoke some English and were so friendly and helpful. I got a strawberry stain on my clothes that first morning, and a waitress brought me stain remover and a cloth to help clean it. Highly recommended.

We spent 14 lovely days here with our three children, aged 8, 3, and 8 months. The Ricchi's Team made our holiday even better. Our family really appreciates your honesty and open hearts. Keep it up!

Such a cozy hotel, with a clean pool and a nice breakfast that includes gluten-free options. Amazing!
