Terminal Palace & SPA

The room looked out over the beach, and the location was gorgeous. It was clean and comfortable, and they even provided a kettle. The front desk was helpful and replied quickly to emails when we ran into travel issues. There’s underground parking for €30 a night, which I thought was pretty expensive, or off-site parking for €15 a night.

The receptionist couldn’t help with anything I asked. She said, “I am not authorized to give me the information!” When I got annoyed and asked for her name and to speak to a supervisor, she said she wasn’t authorized to do that either! 😂😂 She was extremely rude from start to finish. Their 4.1 review score fits the attitude. A place like this has no business in hospitality. It’s a joke, and I’ve worked in hospitality for 25 years.

The staff were friendly and the hotel is right on the beach. The parking lot was already full when we arrived, so we paid for street parking instead. Our room was clean but could use a few updates. The shower was small, though bigger than most European showers, and the balcony was a nice size. The elevators are small, and with only two of them, it could be hard to find one empty during COVID. We had dinner at the attached restaurant. The entrees were fine and the desserts were delicious. We’d been looking forward to breakfast, but were told we couldn’t bring our dog in. That’s completely understandable, but it would’ve been nice to know at check-in. All in all, a nice stay with a few minor inconveniences.

The hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable, and well insulated from both noise and light. One odd annoyance: the TV turns itself on when you enter, even if you switched it off before. Breakfast had plenty of choice and the croissants were good, but the eggs were overcooked, as they often are in hotels, the bacon wasn’t crisp, and the only tea was Lipton. I always want bacon, eggs, and a cup of tea, so that part let me down. The rest was fine. The pool water felt a little too cold, and there were no water massages or other fun extras. It’s free to use until 3pm, then there’s an entrance fee from 3pm to 9pm.
