Hotel Edelweiss

We were disappointed by how our cancellation and voucher were handled. The day after booking, we learned that a family member was critically ill and near the end of their life, so we promptly asked the hotel about our options. They said they would charge 80% of the booking, but offered a 50% voucher valid until November 3rd, which we appreciated. When we later tried to use it for October 31st to November 3rd, the hotel said it only applied to stays of at least four nights. That restriction hadn’t been mentioned when we received the voucher, even though the website let us book directly for those dates. In the end, we paid for a room we couldn’t use and couldn’t redeem the voucher under the terms we’d expected. We feel the hotel was unfair and not transparent. We had wanted to visit, but after this experience we’re unlikely to choose it in the future.

The spa services were great, and both the restaurant and its menus were delicious. A beautiful hotel up in the mountains.

The kitchen was spectacular, and the whole hotel was very clean with a clear eye for detail. Sonja, Oskar & Kids were wonderful hosts. It’s a lovely little place that mixes modern touches with South Tyrollean style, and made a great retreat in Val Pusteria. Absolutely recommended.

Just paradise. Nothing else to add.
