We got a quick, flat walk from the train platform to Allo Scalo Dei Mille, where the owner was there to welcome us and make sure we had what we needed. She even helped us book dinner one evening. The marina area of Riomaggiore, where you can spot this hotel in lots of town photos, is smaller and farther from most shops and restaurants, which kept things peaceful. When there was noise, the windows did a good job blocking it. I'd recommend staying here.

We loved the property and its beautiful views, and it's close to everything you need in Riomaggiore. The one issue was street noise at night, especially on Saturday. It was hot and we couldn't shut the windows, so the noise kept us awake even with earplugs and a noise machine.

I was really happy here. The views and sunsets were lovely, and I liked opening the window for the night breeze and the sound of people dining in the morning and evening. Things shut down before 10 pm. There's a chain across the walkway to stop other tourists walking right in front of the rooms. The room was much more luxurious than it looked in the photos, with a great cappuccino maker and a fridge big enough for everything. Five of the best restaurants in town are within 100 ft, including two Michelin star places.

Lorraine was welcoming, let us leave our luggage on checkout morning, and gave us good advice for the next leg of our trip. The instructions Denise sent were useful too, since the town is a bit of a maze, though it's not too hard to get to from the station. We expected an old building, but the rooms inside were modern and reasonably spacious. The patio view was lovely, although we were out exploring the towns most of the time and didn't get to enjoy it much.

Lorraine was so helpful and friendly. She gave us food tips, called around her contacts to arrange a boat tour, and was lovely whenever we ran into her in town. The room was modern rustic, clean, roomy, and had everything we needed. The balcony view was beautiful. I'd love to stay here again.
