The basement room was damp, moldy, and full of mosquitoes, and it was worse than the little bit of moisture shown in the photo. We’d paid for a room with a washing machine, but there wasn’t one. Then, for the last two nights, we couldn’t sleep because other German tourists in another room partied, shouted, howled, and screamed until 3 or 4 in the morning. The neighbors, other guests, and especially the owner did nothing. It was scandalous. You wouldn’t expect that in other guesthouses or hotels, and I’d be ashamed to rent out a room with that much mold. We wouldn’t stay there again, even in a different room.

We spent a week here as six people and would happily come back. It was quiet, with no disturbance from the neighbors, and the owners were friendly and attentive. The balcony view was priceless and could be enjoyed from every room. The beach promenade was around a 20-30 minute walk away, or just under seven minutes by car. Inside, the apartment had excellent furnishings, comfortable beds, lots of compact built-in wardrobes, a great bathroom, and a very large kitchen.

The staff were very friendly, and being in the basement meant the apartment stayed cooler than the upper floors in hot weather. It’s around a 15-20-minute walk to the lake, with street parking available. One unusual feature is a window looking into the neighboring apartment. There was also a noticeable damp smell.

The owner was really nice and helpful, and the place was spacious, clean, and beautiful, with a wonderful view. We left it very clean, but the woman who came to clean was rude and spoke to us badly while we were just carrying our bags downstairs from inside.
