Hotel Garnì Villa Maria

The owners were kind and welcoming, and there's a spacious, convenient place to store bicycles. But the price felt high, even allowing for how expensive everything in Riva del Garda is. At the same price in Trento, I found a much better hotel. The location is okay, about 8-10 minutes on foot from the city centre. This is a small bed-and-breakfast house with several rooms, best suited to a budget trip or a night or so. Finding the room was a bit confusing: first- and second-floor rooms both had three-digit numbers starting with “1.” Not a big deal, just an odd choice. The rooms were extremely basic even for a two-star place, with cheap, dated materials. The air conditioner only had a dial from minimum to maximum, with no temperature setting. There's no mini fridge, just two free sockets, one in the bathroom, so I had to charge my power bank there. The TV was tiny, and I'd personally have preferred a mini fridge instead.

The owner made breakfast himself, and it was suited to everyone. He was also kind and helpful. The room was very clean, with sheets and towels changed each day. It's about a five-minute walk to the bus station and ten minutes to the city centre. A perfect place to stay in Riva, and I'll definitely return.

We were on the top floor, and the rooftop terrace had an amazing view when we went up in the morning. Breakfast was very good, and the hotel is close to the centre. We stayed just one night and were completely satisfied. Although we arrived a little late, it was no problem. Our room was clean, comfortable and quite spacious, and we could use the parking lot.

The owners prepared breakfast, and there was free parking. The hotel is near the city centre, and the rooftop terrace is lovely. The room was clean and the whole place smelled nice. I'd come back.
