Ostello Benacus

Riva del Garda itself is a lovely place, but for future classes, find somewhere else to stay and thank me later. We came to this older hostel for a graduation trip. The rooms are tiny, the beds feel like hard hospital beds, and the mattresses were quite dirty. The air conditioning barely worked, so the rooms were almost unbearable. Breakfast was okay but had little choice and hardly anything fresh. Dinner was an absolute cheek. They call this a restaurant, yet couldn't manage simple pasta dishes, and we had stomach cramps after the first spoonful. The shared showers were cramped too, which is especially awkward for larger groups. Honestly, it's ridiculous to offer guests a hostel like this with a clear conscience. What a cheek.

For the price, this hostel is hard to beat. Breakfast is included in the rate, and it was better than some places where I've paid extra for it. It's also right in one of the city's main hot spots. Antonio, who was in charge, was fantastic, helpful, and always available. The washrooms are cleaned well every day. If you do find them a bit dirty, that's down to the other guests who have used them, not the hostel's upkeep.

Antonio was the highlight for me. He's such a kind person, puts his heart into the hostel, and helped us with anything we needed. We came as a group of 8 teenagers, and for 130€ for 5 nights, there really wasn't anything to complain about. Breakfast was great, and the rooms were clean, though quite simple. It's a good fit for groups looking to travel cheaply. You can play games in the area around the hostel, and I'd recommend coming with a group of young people since you can do whatever you like. Right in the city center, and very well organized. I felt at home here. The place is clean, well kept, and cozy, and the price is great. Antonio was so kind and cheerfully took care of all my requests. The staff were friendly and always available too. I really recommend it to anyone visiting Riva del Garda. Bellissimo!! Devrim.
