The place was clean, but dated. Our apartment for two had just a sofa bed, no microwave or hair dryer, and no shower gel, though towels and soap were provided. There was no detergent either, so even though we could use the kitchen, we couldn’t wash the dishes. I wanted to make moka, but found water in it that could have been sitting there for who knows how long. Parking is a gamble: there are ten very small spots and eight more in the garage, but those really amount to four because cars park one behind another. No elevator and no reception.

I’ve stayed here four times, but this visit has taught me my lesson. The room is basic and needs serious updating. There’s no starter pack with soap, shampoo, or cooking oil, no kettle or iron, and one of the pots had no lid. The carpets were dirty, and there wasn’t even a spatula for flipping an omelette. There’s no security on site. A staff member who lives in the building tried to pick our apartment door lock. We saw him doing it. The manager spoke to him, and he denied it. We were moved to another floor, then told the staff member was telling the truth and we must have been mistaken. For all that, they offered us a free cocktail or breakfast. Crazy.

It was budget accommodation near the lake, with parking, and that was just right for us!

The rooms were nice, and the experience was good overall.
