The breakfast was great, and the family-run hotel has a heated pool and jacuzzi. But the walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbors talking and make out what they’re saying.

I liked everything: the room was clean and spacious, the staff were friendly, and the pool and sauna were nice. Breakfast was delicious too.

Hotel Virgilio’s breakfast is so good, I’d happily have it every morning. Everyone on staff was lovely and friendly. This was my second stay because I’d had such a good experience the first time, and this visit was even better. We unexpectedly got a large, comfortable room with both a bath and a shower. I’d definitely come back.

The pool area and service were really nice, and it was easy to get into town on the free bikes. Breakfast was good too. I accidentally booked the cheapest room, and I gather the others are much better. I wouldn’t suggest the budget rooms to anyone who has trouble sleeping: they’re noisy, the bed and pillows didn’t suit us, and the carpet plus lack of proper ventilation made the air feel bad. At least it was clean. Good value overall.

The staff were so friendly, and I loved how clean, spacious, and quiet the rooms were. The huge breakfast and free bikes were welcome extras. I booked eight nights and enjoyed every minute. This was my best stay in Italy, and I’ll definitely stay here again.
