Casa Isabella

Marco and Isabella treated us like family the whole time, with so much warmth and kindness. The food was abundant and delicious, and breakfast was ready every morning with coffee brought to our door. We ate on a second-floor terrace overlooking the Italian backcountry. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The whole visit made us feel as if we'd grown up in small-town Italia.

Isabella's ancestral home is a beautiful historic house, and the two hosts, Isabella and Marco, made us feel like family while pampering us like guests at a 5-star hotel. They thought of countless thoughtful touches during our stay. We visited nearby Lanciano and also went to San Vito Chietino, and parking was close by and easy. The rooms were spotless, with very comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was the most lavish and delicious we've ever had, served on a lovely terrace. We would love to return. Thank you, Marco and Isabella, for two nights we'll always remember.

The converted palace setting is full of history, and you can see how lovingly the building is maintained. The bedrooms are comfortable and beautifully appointed, with a feel of the past, while the bathrooms are spacious, modern, and stocked with the essentials. Each morning started with espresso and water brought to the room, followed by a breakfast worthy of the setting. Marco is a master in the kitchen, and the meal stood out for its variety and elegance as well as how satisfying it was. Isabella and Marco are exceptional hosts. Her larger-than-life personality pairs beautifully with his understated elegance, and together they make you feel special each day. We had a wonderful stay at Casa Isabella in the charming town of Rocca San Giovanni. It felt like being treated as royalty, and the experience will stay with us for a long time. Rocca is a lively town in its own right. We happened to visit during a particularly active week, though it's easy to see its appeal at any time. Cavalluccio Beach is close, as are Lanciano, Crecchio, and San Giovanni in Venere in the beautiful Abruzzo area. We can't thank Isabella and Marco enough for their warm, gracious hospitality.
