The palazzo is beautiful and has a real sense of history, and the landscape around Roccagloriosa is stunning. It makes a great base for seeing places both nearby and farther out. Cristina and her family made me feel at home right away. The food is delicious, they clearly love the Cilento, and the whole atmosphere is warm. I arrived as a tourist and left feeling like a friend of the family. I highly recommend this lovely place and its wonderful host.

Cristina and Bruno really know how to make you feel looked after. There are delicious wines, pastries, and all kinds of dishes, plus great advice about beaches, cultural sites, and other places to see in south Campania. The house is wonderful, and the food is beyond excellent. Such a special example of southern Italian hospitality and traditions. Go, whatever you're looking for, you'll get that and a lot more!

Cristina made us feel so welcome, and her cooking was fantastic. She spoiled us with delicious dishes she prepared herself using local ingredients. The rooms are bright and charming, even though they're in the attic. This little palace is a great base for exploring the surrounding sea, nature, and history. The old building has been renovated beautifully, and the town is worth seeing for its important archaeological site and the charm of an authentic village without tourists. Thanks again to Cristina for these lovely days!

Cristina's breakfasts were amazing, with homemade pastries and jams that are also available to buy. We had dinner there too, and the meal she made for us was the best of our whole vacation. She's full of local tips and has connections with tour operators who offer discounts on boat trips, lamparata fishing, wine tastings, and more. My girlfriend and I stayed five days. The ancient farmhouse is beautiful and has all the comforts, the room was clean and fresh, and there's a lovely terrace and garden. Roccagloriosa is a cool inland village, about a half-hour drive from Palinuro, Marina di Camerota, and Policastro. We recommend La Zizzania e Il Mandarino if you're after a comfortable, convenient Cilento holiday with advice from a local who's knowledgeable, available, and attentive.

Mrs. Cristina is extremely kind and welcoming, and the period property is beautiful. Still, I expected more after reading the other reviews. For €100 a night for a double room, the total cost feels too high given the location and poor management. Roccagloriosa has nature and history, but not much else. The rooms are passable. There's no air conditioning, hot water doesn't come on right away because of the solar panel systems, and cleaning happened only twice in six days, which is absurd when it should be done daily. You also have to ask for toilet paper each time the roll runs out since there's no spare in the room. Breakfast is a surprise, as it isn't a buffet and Mrs. Cristina serves it herself, including cakes she bakes. If you want something specific, just ask and she'll provide it on the following days. There's only one key for the main door and four rooms, so if someone else has it, you're locked out. Mrs. Cristina isn't always there. A couple of times we got back from the beach around 7 PM and she wasn't there. Dinner was good, but nothing exceptional, and a bit expensive for its quality and preparation compared with the two local restaurants, where you can eat more for much less. I feel sorry for Mrs. Cristina. Maybe she should take a hotel management course.
