Relais Black Horse

The view was just a parking lot, and the pool was closed early on a scorching summer afternoon. There was no lifeguard, despite what we’d been told, and the explanation for the early closing kept changing. Staff rarely seemed to make an effort with other languages. One exception was Roberto, who was incredibly rude and openly insulted guests. They even gave me another guest’s room key twice. Luckily, I walked in when there were only bags inside. The hospitality felt like a bad comedy. I hope the family sells the place to someone who cares about guests, and that it changes hands soon.

Raffaele’s pizza is properly Neapolitan, and there’s a fabulous pool with a bar inside. The owners, Michele and Nuncia, make sure everyone is having a good time, and Gennaro, the manager, goes out of his way to see that you’re satisfied. This was the friendliest place we’ve stayed in Northern Italy. It’s a small hotel with lovely owners and staff, and we can’t wait to come back.

The family runs this place, and the staff were wonderful. I loved the good food and the lovely atmosphere, and the morning view is breathtaking. One of the best hotels in Millesimo Town. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Breakfast was insufficient, though the dinners were good. It’s a nice place to bring your dog, who’s allowed everywhere except the swimming pool.
