Small Navona Studio

I found it quiet and really comfortable, even though the place is small. It had everything I needed as a base for getting around, and the central location felt safe. I’d happily book it again.

I honestly think this place shouldn’t have a legal permit to rent. It felt like a storage room with a bed, not an apartment or studio, and was a health hazard. The air was unbearable from the mold and damp smell, and there was no way to get fresh air: the only window was very old and looked onto the inside area where the garbage bins were kept. The room was very cold, and the little electric heater couldn’t bring it to a normal temperature. In parts of the bathroom and by the door, the ceiling was just a plastic board. An infrared lamp heated the bathroom, and it had melted the plastic ceiling above it. The metal door was extremely narrow, so you had to squeeze to get through. It had metal mesh with glass glued over it. The bed was awful too, with an old, very saggy mattress. There was no duvet cover, just two sheets, one underneath and one on top, and the sheets felt itchy and very old. The boiler was so small that two people couldn’t shower one after the other without waiting for the water to heat up.

A handy base, especially if you’re only planning to sleep here rather than hang out in the room. It’s small but quiet, and the bed is comfortable with plenty of hot water for a shower. There’s a cafe a minute away for breakfast. I recommend it.
