Camping Village Santapomata

We stayed in late April 2025 at Mobile Home Superior, and cabin no 4 is the best one. It gets morning sun, doesn’t face the neighbour directly, and had good shower pressure and reliable hot water. The place is in Rochette, Tuscany, Italy, about 1.5 hours from Pisa and 4 hours from Milan. Castiglione della Pescaia is 5km away, a nice small city with good restaurants and bars. Try Angolo Gelato with Cremino flavour, so delicious. The nearest Coop supermarket is 5km away. Follonica is 20 minutes away, with Lidl, Coop, and acqua village waterpark. Grosetto is a 30-minute drive, with Zara, Berschka, Pull&Bear, and iper Coop. The cabin has hot water in the kitchen, but no dishwasher, microwave, or water kettle. There were two pans, two pots, a strainer, a very sharp knife, a big cutting board, six sets of plates, bowls, cutlery, wine and water glasses, a water jug, and a two-door fridge. The price included sheets, blanket, and towels. For our family of four, we got four towel sets, each with one bath towel and one face towel, plus one bath mat even though there are two toilets, and two extra pillows. The kids room has a bunk bed with three beds. They provide a broom, a small dish soap, sponge, and towel. There are two sinks, two toilets, and one shower. There’s a terrace with a table and hanger. The cabin is beneath lots of trees, so yellow pollen dust keeps coming back even after you wipe the table. There were many mosquitoes, so bring repellent and a mosquito candle. Grilling isn’t allowed. You have to clean the kitchen yourself when checking out or pay 50 euro. The car can drive in to unload, then has to go to the parking area outside the gate. That parking area wasn’t nice, with lots of wild grass. Garbage also has to be carried outside the gate. The on-site restaurant is nice and open for dinner, and the pizza was very nice. We ordered lots for a few days and took it to the beach to watch the sunset. There’s a kind of beach bar, though it isn’t on the beach, and it wasn’t very nice, with tables and chairs poorly arranged and an uninteresting look. Near the beach there’s only one tap for rinsing feet, the shower didn’t work, and the toilet was dirty. This was very disappointing because the kids couldn’t get all the sand off, so they had to return to the cabin still sandy. The beach itself is very nice, though the water was quite cold in April. You can rent a sun lounge for 10 euro per day. The sun lounges close at 18.30pm, and the rental price is 15 Euro per day for two chairs and one umbrella. The kids basically only have the beach to play at. There’s no playground, big play area, or grass, and even with our scooter and rollerblades there weren’t many places to use them. There’s no pool here. You can pay to use their partner location 300m away, but it’s outside and cold in April. All in all, you get what you pay for, and it was quite a nice holiday if you really love staying on the beach all day. I’d bring a kitchen towel for wiping things, a bathroom hand towel, sponge, dish soap, kitchen paper, garbage bags, cling wrap, a lighter and mosquito candle, repellent, whisk, spatula, peeler if you plan to cook, clips for leftover food, and Tupperware to take food to the beach.
