There are accommodation prices to suit different budgets. The pools are the main draw, and you may not care about the beach once you’ve tried them. The restaurant is fairly priced given how few local options there are.

For €250 a night, we expected a more comfortable stay and better upkeep than the online presentation suggested. The site was crowded, and bungalows were close together with little privacy. Ours was much smaller and more cramped than the photos made it look, with a persistent damp, musty smell that made it hard to relax. There were quite a few mosquitoes and moths around, which made evenings indoors less pleasant. We know insects can come with being in nature, but better sealing or prevention in the bungalow would have helped. We also ran out of shower soap and never heard back after asking for a replacement. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t return.

The pitch, food, and pool were nice, but the washroom area was a huge disappointment. You have to bring your own toilet paper, and the toilets seemed rarely cleaned, with pee and sometimes feces on the toilet rim. The shower room was dark, lit only by natural light, and had just one tiny hook for clothes. We booked a minivan pitch for two nights, paying €104, the highest price of all the campsites we stayed at during our holiday. The website looked promising, and we were told we could use the nearby private beach belonging to another hotel. When we tried to use a sunbed, we were stopped and told it cost €30 for a sunbed and umbrella, which was a surprise. The restaurant staff seemed stressed and fed up with tourists, practically throwing our food and drinks onto the table as they passed on to the next guests. Because of the poor sanitation, I wouldn’t recommend staying here if clean facilities matter to you.

The campground itself is beautiful, and the pool area really is worth a visit. The kids loved it, and the animation team was very nice, but seemed inexperienced, like teenagers expected to work from morning until late at night. The pool music was much too loud, and it was bad Italian pop, just too much. You also have to pay for a bed. The beach is quite far away, and getting a spot costs a lot; there’s a huge concrete slab in the ground, too. The staff were very, very nice, but I think the price is way overrated. We won’t be back because the negatives outweighed the positives.

The beach was a highlight, less than a 10-minute walk away, with lovely sand and views of Forte delle Rocchette and islands in the distance. We stayed in our caravan in a beautiful spot among the pines for a few relaxed days. There were only four or five other campers because of covid, though some guests were in the bungalows. We didn’t go inside them, but walking past the rows gave the impression of a cozy little neighborhood in a gorgeous setting. The washrooms were cleaned every two days and were more or less clean, though they felt as if they hadn’t been used in a long time, which was true. Maybe they’re cleaned more often when it’s busier. We skipped the pool because it was still too cold and we prefer the beach. We also didn’t use the beach volleyball, soccer or tennis areas, but they all looked well kept. The pool area looked amazing :)
