Hotel Nussbaumerhof ***

I enjoyed my stay a lot. The staff were friendly, the accommodation is beautifully situated, and the food was wonderful. The daily drinks on the menu are well worth trying. The rooms are being renovated at the moment, but they’re still perfectly habitable.

Breakfast was generous and tasty, served in a pleasant setting, and the service was very friendly and ran quietly and smoothly. The hotel has a beautiful garden and a breathtaking view. My room was good and functional, though I’d have preferred a more modern design and furnishings.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and there are covered parking spaces. We liked the garden, with loungers outside, and the pool was usable. Inside, the restaurant and buffet areas were especially attractive; breakfast had plenty of sweet and savory options, and lunch and dinner were good. The building is well presented, and the location is a little away from the center, which is fine if you like seclusion. The room let us down, especially the bathroom, which had a shower but no bidet. That was the main disappointment for my wife and me, and the place would have been nicer for us with one.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and both meals were excellent and plentiful. Dinner stood out for its distinctive, delicious dishes. It’s a charming, elegant hotel with its own character, and the reception staff were friendly and ready to answer questions.
