Hotel Solaria

The owners were friendly and helpful both before we arrived and during our stay. It’s a simple hotel right by the beach, and our room was clean and well looked after.

There’s free off-road parking, and breakfast has a good choice of fruit, pastries, meat, and cheese. The rooms are very clean and fairly modern. Good value for money.

The location made it easy to leave the car behind, with the sea only two minutes away and the historic center about five minutes on foot. For stays over three days, a beach umbrella, sun lounger, and deckchair are included, and the assigned parking was handy in such a popular area. The rooms are spacious and comfortable despite the minimalist decor, with a useful mini-fridge and a big bathroom with a walk-in shower. Towels and toiletries were replenished, though I wish the sheets had been changed during our week. Breakfast had plenty of sweet and savory options, and staff brought cappuccinos and coffees to the table. The staff were kind and courteous. I’d recommend it if you want a relaxing stay.

The owners and staff were so helpful and courteous, offering useful tips and even handling bookings for lunches, dinners, and lovely excursions, including ones away from the sea. We hardly used the car, which stayed in the hotel’s private parking lot. The beach resort is included in the price and only a few steps away, with shallow, clean water over sand. The marina, where boat trips to the Tremiti Islands and along the coast depart, is nearby too. The historic center is also close, around five minutes up steps of varying difficulty. Our room and bathroom were basic but clean and functional. Breakfast had a plentiful mix of sweet and savory food. It was just the sort of vacation we wanted.
